Some things have to be learned first. They are first things. Knowing these first things (or knowing how to make some basic distinctions) makes it possible for us to pursue other good things. The first 11 chapters of the Bible want to teach us some first things. They introduce us to some basic questions: Where am I? Who am I to you? Who am I? How far should I go to preserve my life? To assert myself? To promote my happiness?
Our relationship to Holy Scripture is based on how we have answered these questions. Come join our group, and let's check our answers together.
